For sale here is an 1896 Wisden Publisher's Hardback in  VERY GOOD PLUS condition.

The front and rear boards are in flat, bright, unmarked and in fine condition with the gilt very bright to the front board.There are a couple of tiny pin holes,scarcely visible,towards the top of the front board.

The spine and spine gilt are in excellent condition ,bright and unmarked,but there are a couple of tiny pin holes at the junction with the rear board.

 Both front and rear yellow endpapers are bright and clean with just the odd minor mark and a former owner's bookplate to the front pastedown.

Both hinges are strong.

The contents and photographic plate are complete, original, unmarked and in fine condition except that the tissue guarding the photo plate is somewhat foxed as usual.

A super copy of one of the very rarest Wisden.In my experience the 96 and 97 hardbacks are certainly the scarcest of all the hardbacks and come to the market very rarely and when they do they are very unlikely to appear in as good condition as the book offered here.
