Hi,
This lot is an 1871 Rebound Wisden , with the original covers bound within.
It is very hard to find one of the first fifteen rebound with covers.
This book is in Good+ Condition
The boards are in Redish-Maroon with gilt to the spine, they are new boards without any marks. There are leather sections, it is a very nicely rebound. Nice pattern inside the boards too, ex-owner Michael Lupton Pearce has a book plate to the rear of the binding front cover.
This book is very nice , the only thing to point out is the spotting, not sure why 1871 attracts it but as you'll see from other 1871 listings on this site and my own copy have spots.
The covers within are in excellent condiiton, minimal trimming, tightly bound (the binding is ever so nice) , nice internal pages other than the spots, a lovely old , scarce, Wisden.
