Hi,
This lot is an Original 1937 Hardback Wisden .
It is in very good condition, the era of ‘33 to 1937 were not the best of hardbacks as Wisden swapped materials in ‘33, it resulted in poorer quality Wisdens but I am pleased to say that this 1937 is far better than most for the year.
The front and spine gilt is excellent for a poor year, nice and bright here and the boards are very good, there is a couple of marks to the baords and a bot of wear to the bottom of the spine cloth. Internally strong hinges and clean pages. There are a couple of small nicks to the baords , maximum 1cm , please see the pictures as not offputting. Great phototplate. Small staining to the page block around page 600 but it hasnt come into the book.
Hard to find in good condition, this is better than many.
