For sale here is an 1896 Wisden Publisher's Hardback in AT LEAST VERY GOOD condition.

The front and rear boards are in flat, bright, unmarked and in fine condition with the gilt very bright to the front board.

The spine and spine gilt are in excellent condition but to be really picky the brown colouring has very slightly lightened at the junction of the spine with the front board - barely noticeable 

 Both front and rear yellow endpapers are bright and unmarked.The front hinge is very slightly weakened - once again nothing to concern and the rear hinge immaculate

The contents and photographic plate are complete, original, unmarked and in fine condition except that the tissue guarding the photo plate and the first advertising page are a little foxed.

The book comes with its own custom made protective case in matching brown.

A super copy of one of the very rarest Wisden.In my experience the 96 and 97 hardbacks are certainly the scarcest of all the hardbacks and come to the market very rarely and when they do they are very unlikely to appear in as good condition as the book offered here.
