This volume comes from the collection I inherited from my great uncle, Brian Chapman who was a cricket journalist from after the second world war to the mid-70s, initially with the Daily Express and latterly with the Observer. This would no doubt have accompanied him on the county circuit that year and so shows signs of wear.

There is a small white spot to the front linen and a crease along the edge. On the back are a number of black spots and fraying at the edges with the linen cloth lifting at the corner. A bit of creasing to the spine. Internally binding is strong. Would work well as a reference copy.
