This volume comes from the collection I inherited from my great uncle, Brian Chapman who was a cricket journalist from after the second world war to the mid-70s, initially with the Daily Express and latterly with the Observer. No doubt, this Wisden accompanied him on the county circuit for that year and as such it looks like it received plenty of use and is in poor condition.

The linen is frayed to the edges and a bit grubby. The back page linen has largely separated from its liner. It looks like the book spent some time sat in whatever drink got spilt in the press box! However, apart from the three back pages which are also damaged at the corners the binding is secure and this could function well as a reference copy.

The asking price reflects these problems. If you would like me to post by a cheaper method then just ask.
