Hi,
This lot is an Original 1916 Hardback Wisden . Scarce.
It is in Excellent condition. In fact it is as good as my own. I am quite lucky at the moment to own such beautiful WW1 Wisdens.
This book has wonderful front gilt, the spine gilt would normally be described as faded but it was never on the book in the first place so it has nice gilt but without the gold leaf on top (as per normal). Barely a mark to the boards which are tall and clean. The pages inside are amazing, so very white without a spot, the yellow paste downs are excellent , a tinge of darkness to the top of the right hand page with an ink name tidily written and birth and death above Trumper obit title. I had to compare it against my own and it was a tie. A treat.
