This 1879 Wisden is in it's original wrappers and is VERY GOOD good conditionfor the year.
1879 is such a difficult year to find in collectable condition as inevitably the covers fade.Widsen only used these waxy covers for 1879 and some of the 1880 print run.
The book has had no restoration.
The front wrapper is almost complete with just a small chip to the bottom left - still in very good condition.The camera really has exaggerated the marks to the front cover which are actually relatively minor.
The rear wrapper is complete and in excellent condition - just about the best I've seen for this year.
The spine is entirely original but just starting to chip and flake.
The binding is tight.
Internally, the contents are in very good condition - complete, original and unmarked.
A really nice copy .
