This lot is an 1901 Original Hardback Wisden. In Superb condition

The first Hardback that Wisden produced was in 1896, this is hence the sixth year of the hardback and a hard copy to find, especially in this condition. 

This book looks amazing when you first look down upon it, and to be fair it is very nice indeed but going through it in detail I have to point out three things that may put people off. The first are some small but noticiable markings to the base of the front and rear board, the second is a book plate from an ex owner to the front left pastedown and the thrid is some light spotting to the photoplate. Now I have that out the way the book harldy feels like it has been read, the gilt is amazingly bright to the front and the spine, the hinges are very strong indeed and it is free from spotting. A very nice book. 

A rare Wisden in superb condition and a very nice price.
