Wisden Year: | 1970 |
Dust Jacket: | Original DJ |
DJ Condition: | No Issues - Mint/Very Good |
DJ Nics & Tears: | None |
Page Block: | Bright White |
Overall Condition: | 9 |
Stock Number: | 70/E/001 |
A small pencil stock mark on the rear paste down and slightly faded spine on the DJ don't detract from this otherwise immaculate 1970 - very hard to find in this condition. As you'll see from the pictures, the page block and pages are beautifully bright and unmarked as are the boards.
The DJ is unmarked and bright (slightly faded spine) making this a strong 9/10 for a 50 year old book!
We are in the process of adding over 400 post-war Wisden’s into our shop so if you don’t see what you need, please contact us as 90% of our editions are VGC or better and there are multiple editions per year to choose from.
Postage: We use Royal Mail to ship all orders. Individual volumes are packaged in a padded Jiffy bag while multiple volumes are individually bubble wrapped and boxed to ensure they arrive with you in the condition they left us! We will always combine postage where possible.
Quality: We take pride in our product listings and take time to provide an individual description of each edition. If you are in any way dissatisfied when you receive your purchase from us we will happily swap the item for another from the shop or provide a full refund.
Descriptions: We started the Badger Sett because in compiling my own collection, one of the hardest things I found to navigate were the various descriptions used by sellers. I found that their interpretations of what constitutes a Wisden in Very Good Condition (VGC) for example were different to mine and so to give you confidence in our honest descriptions, here is a short overview of what you should expect:
Viewing: If you live locally or are visiting Somerset then please contact us and we will arrange a viewing slot here at the Badger Sett for you to hand-pick the volumes of your choice - our postcode is BA6 9SW.
Q: | Thanks James. I'll probably just wear the postage for the direct shipping. I did note your comments about post-war editions you are adding to your shop. I am interested in hardbacks between 1946 and 1959. Would you let me know what you may have in this regard as it may work out better for me postage wise to buy multiple items. posted by: Yallop 13/10/2020 09:54:09 |
A: | Certainly - can you drop me a mail to thesomersetbadger@outlook.com so we can discuss availability and quality - Can you also go ahead and make the purchase of the 1970 but don't submit payment until we have agreed anything further and I'll issue bank details and a consolidated invoice in due course |
Q: | I am interested in acquiring this item. I would require postage to an Australian address. Would you please let me know what arrangements could be made in that regard and the costs of doing so. Thank you for your assistance. posted by: Yallop 13/10/2020 01:14:04 |
A: | Good Morning - I have a small shipment leaving the UK towards the end of the month. For £12 postage I can add this to the shipment and my customer in Adelaide will forward onto you using the Australian mail system - I would anticipate delivery in early November should you choose this option. I can ship individually but the cheapest I can get it shipped to you directly is £22. Many thanks, James |
