A very nice 1949 hardback with both covers very clean and just a little wear to the edges and one corner. The front gilt is brighter than most 49s, as is the slightly faded spine gilt. Internally it is clean and there are no loose pages or writing. Discolouration to pages and page block is less than as expected for the age. The front hinge is secure; the back has webbing visible along most of its length. More photos can be provided on request.
