Hi,
This lot is an original hardback edition of John Wisden Cricketers' Almanack for 1901, the 38th edition and 6th hardback issued. The original brown boards are in very good condition, with just a few marks. The upper right hand corner of the front cover is slightly damaged.
The spine is strong with just a little creasing to the upper and lower edges. It has darkened a little with age and has a few marks on. The gilt lettering on the front cover is lovely and bright, just a little less bright on the spine. Internally it is a nice bright copy. The binding is tight and the hinges strong. There are a few spots of foxing but generally the pages are clean and all pages are intact. No inscriptions by previous owners, no tears, no dog earing.
The plate itself is in good condition, there is some foxing to the page to which it is attached and the protective tissue. Please see the photographs provided (more available on request).
All in all a lovely copy of an extremely rare book.
I have tried to describe this book as honestly and accurately as possible. If on receipt of the book the buyer feels I have misled them in any way then I would accept this Wisden in return and give a full refund.
Payment: I would prefer payment by cheque, but will accept PayPal in an emergency situation
Free postage , insured by my private library insurance.
Enjoy this rare book!
Chris
