DESCRIPTION

This 1893 Wisden is in it's original wrappers and is in absolutely immaculate condition.

The front and rear wrappers are flat, clean and bright.

The spine is complete and in fabulous condition, other than a tiny chip to the bottom right hand corner as can be seen from the photograph.

The book has had no restoration whatsoever.

Internally all is immaculate - the pages and photoplate are complete, bright and in unmarked condition.  The only tiny flaw is that the tissue guard for the photoplate has some foxing as is very commonly the case.

The best 1893 that I have seen.

Postage £8.95 Royal Mail Special Delivery.

Q: What does "Second Issue" mean from a collecting point of view?  posted by: TEDGUNSKY  19/01/2016 17:17:33
A: Good question! There's no real difference at all from a price point of view.Wisden did second editions for quite a few years in the 1890s ,presumably to cope with increased demandAs far as I'm aware there's no price premium for a second edition compared to the first print run or vice versa. In the world of modern first editions the position is quite different - a first edition of Casino Royale in a dustwrapper could be worth £15000,a second edition in the same state perhaps £200-£300. Hope this helps. Andrew Cullimore - Bosunbooks
