On offer here is an 1864 Wisden in original state which was rebound some time ago in dark brown boards.
The original wrappers have not been preserved.
This is of course a first edition of Wisden and therefore an extremely scarce book.
The book is in near fine condition. The original front and rear boards are clean and unmarked as is the spine. The title and year appear in gilt to the spine.
Internally the book is in fabulous condition.
There are no marks or annotations and the pages are remarkably clean and, very unusual, completely free from foxing.
The book is entirely original and other that the re-bind has no restoration whatsoever.
A really excellent copy.
