We have recently acquired a full run of publisher's hardbacks from 1898 to date.Unusually the copies from the 1940s onwards were pretty much run of the mill but the pre 1939 issues were all in exceptional condition with many looking just as good as they would have done when new.Quite a number of these have been sold to customers who had asked us to look out for copies of a particular year but we intend to list the remainder on Wisden Auction in the near future. If you are looking for copies in immaculate condition or for a book or books to form the centerpiece of a collection these could be the books for you I'm afraid that my poor photograghic skills don't quite do the books justice. The 1899 publisher's hardback offered for sale here is from this run and is in FINE condition The front and rear boards are flat and bright and unmarked.The gilt is really bright both to the front board and the spine which is itself immaculate. The hinges are really strong and springy and the yellow endpapers very bright. The contents and plate are absolutely immaculate. A really fine copy. Further photos on request.
