Offerd for sale is an 1864 Wisden - the FIRST year of issue -recently rebound in brown cloth with both wrappers preserved and in NEAR VERY GOOD condition. The brown boards are fine condition - very clean and unmarked and with the title and year in gilt to the spine. Both front and rear wrappers are presrved and are complete. Both appear to have had a little restoration work at the junction with the spine and there is the odd mark and crease but nothing untoward for a book of this age. The contents are complete - the first few pages have a little scattered foxing and there is the odd spot and mark but once again commensurate with age and nothing untoward .
