Q: That didn't take long! Many thanks and when you do visit Runnymede..... Terry  posted by: Egham1  09/05/2018 21:36:32
A: Payment now received, Terry, so we are all square. Yes, I am sad not to be visiting Runnymede, but there is too much on at the moment for me to spare the time. But I will come.

Q: Hello Roger, The 4 I've bid on (and won) are all finished. Any thoughts on delivery or collection and payment? Terry  posted by: Egham1  09/05/2018 20:22:05
A: Hi, Terry. First, thank you for your successful bids. I did try to send you a message earlier today, but perhaps it got lost in the ether. What I said was, I can send everything in one big parcel, on the same basis (Parcelforce 2-day guaranteed signed-for delivery) for £40 as opposed to the £65 I was collectively asking for if you took each bid separately. If you were happy with this then I would only need another £20 for postage on top of the £20 you have already paid. What say you? If you were able to pop payment across tonight, then I could send everything on its way tomorrow. Regards.

Q: Did I say collection, stupid boy!  posted by: Egham1  09/05/2018 20:17:25

Q: Hi Roger, two down and two to go! If you're thinking of delivering (I don't know where you live) then would it be an idea that we wait until they're all done, sort out a figure with delivery and I can pay you cash (saves on Paypal fees). Chris won't lose anything! Let me know what you think. Terry  posted by: Egham1  01/05/2018 20:06:48
A: Thank you Terry - much appreciated. Yes, what you suggest makes sense. So don't pay anything for the moment, and I'll settle with Chris in the normal way. I live in Staffordshire, but it's an easy run down the M40 and I've always meant to go to places like Runnymede and Windsor Great Park, so distance is not an issue. But we'll do the maths at the appropriate time and I'll work out what can be saved on postage by combining parcels, and see whether that is less than the fuel.

Q: Hello Roger, I actually live in Old Windsor, not too far from Egham. I'm sure we can sort something out. I'm actually buying yours to replace a few soft backs I have. It's probably cheaper than having mine rebound (I'm rather a fan of rebinds). I recently had all my pre-war soft backs rebound so there are not too many I will be looking for (apart from a few war issues and I won't be able to afford any of those!) Q: Hi, I've just won and paid for one item but I'm in no hurry to receive it. I'm bidding on several other items so if you wish to hold despatch until they're all resolved I will not have a problem. It may save you a journey or two and you might even let me have a discount on postage when they're all sorted! Your call, play it as you wish. Terry (Egham1)  posted by: Egham1  27/04/2018 22:14:57
A: Morning, Terry. Thank you for your bids, and for your successful purchase. Yes, I'm happy to hang on. If some more of your bids succeed then I might even jump in the car and deliver to you, and just charge you the fuel at cost (rather than the taxman's 45p a mile)which would be cheaper then postage. I take it that Egham is where you live, rather than Timbuctoo. Let me know if there are other years that you are interested in, as I am gradually listing the lot, working back chronologically, when I get round to it, and I can always list one out of sequence if you might want to bid. Regards, Roger Lewis
