Wisden 1969 Hardback edition with original dust jacket.

Super quality hardback edition, almost a 10/10.  The gilt lettering is as bright as the day it was printed, the inside clean and bright, with no markings, browning or foxing.  The dustwrapper is near-mint except one minor fault (see below) and has the "feel" of a new wrapper.  Both bookclub inserts are present and in excellent condition, you don't see these that often.

Being very picky indeed, there are four minor faults to report,
other than that the book would be of the lesser-spotted "Benno standard".

1) The DJ spine has faded or 'sunned' ever so slightly.  This is only really noticeable if you hold the DJ out flat.
The book sat nicely on my shelf next to others and didn't stand out.
2) There is a 1cm 'closed tear' on the back of the DJ.  This has been sealed from behind with a tiny patch of
pH-neutral book repair tape (Filmoplast P) to make an invisible permanent repair.  No photograph I took
would even show it but it is just about visible if you know it's there.
3) There is a small crease on the top-left side of the back board.  This did show up on a photo and is shown in the set above.

4) A faint splodge in the middle of the side pageblock, hardly noticeable - see photo.

I saw one in similar condition for £70 on a dealer's site
not too long ago.  I'm hoping for a quick sale and I trust the book is priced fairly and favourably for the condition.

For those cricket fans amongst us, 1969 has lots to offer.
The Australians toured in 1968 (they retained the Ashes) but the exploits of a certain Basil D'Olivera can be relived.  Colin Cowdrey is the subject of a study in the art of captaincy, while Brian Statham's career is also appreciated.  Yorkshire won the Championship (but don't tell Boycott or he won't shut up about his 180* against Warwickshire!) and Deadly Derek Underwood was one of Wisden's Five.  Father Time was quiet amongst cricketers in 1968, the only notable obituaries being Wally Grout and Stan McCabe.

Any other questions, please do ask.

Postage is £3.10 cost price for 2nd Class recorded.
